Empowering Innovative Learning
Welcome to the Mountain BOCES Website!
Mountain BOCES is a cooperative educational service agency covering nine central Rocky Mountain school districts and Colorado Mountain College.† We are in our 45th year of providing programs, services, and expertise that are more efficient, more economical, and of higher quality than could be achieved by one district alone.† Our strategic goal is to inspire Trust at all levels of our organization and with all of our partners, to promote Transparency in our fiscal practices and professional activities and interactions, and to focus on getting Traction to accomplish the most important goals--Trust, Traction, and Transparency.
We hope you find our site easy to navigate. †If you have any questions or suggestions, please contact our Webmaster.
The Mountain Board of Cooperative Educational Services collaborates with member and non-member organizations to leverage and maximize resources and talents in order to provide innovative, high quality programs and services that promote safety and support learning and growth for students, staff, families, and community.
Structural Changes at Mountain BOCES
Mountain BOCES has adjusted its organizational structure to better meet needs identified by member† districts.† Beginning with the 2015-16 school year, we will operate in four regions:† The Eastern Regional Service Center will include Lake County, Park County, Buena Vista, and Salida school districts under the direction of Rose Ley.† The Western Regional Service Center will include Roaring Fork, Garfield Re-2, and Garfield 16 School Districts under the direction of Troy Lange.† Aspen and Summit school districts will act as their own regions.
†This new structure allows the more similar and geographically proximate districts to work more closely with each other and with more autonomy.†
