Mountain Technology & Telecommunications
Consortium
The purpose of the Mountain Technology & Telecommunications
Consortium is to adapt the information technologies to the
educational tasks of teaching and learning in order to improve
and increase educational opportunities for all learners.
The Mountain Technology & Telecommunications Consortium
promotes information and resource sharing, planning and problem
solving and collective expression that will assist in developing
the network and provide access to associated technologies
for all of its member organizations, staff, and students.
Short
Range Goals
- The
MTTC will develop a director of people form the region
that will include: names, titles, addresses, phone
numbers, fax numbers, and membership or access to bulletin
board and
other electronic information systems.
- The
MTTC will develop a resource "library" of
technology strategic plans.
- The
MTTC will develop a web presence for sharing information.
- The
MTTC will investigate the use and implementation of
special education IEP software.
- The
MTTC will facilitate the discussion of Information Based
Decision Making to
improve student achievement.
Long
Range Goals - Development of Long Range Action Plans
- The
MTTC will review, develop, model and implement technologies
for delivery of curriculum and information.
- The
MTTC will develop a staff development plan for technology
and will implement activities in support of this
plan.
- The
MTTC will review and evaluate technologies to establish
a research base of their effectiveness and
how they might
be configured.
- The
MTTC will identify and pursue appropriate alternative
funding sources and available
hardware
and software discounters.
- The
MTTC will identify and review the potential capabilities
of local cable,
phone, and other
companies to provide assistance
to the MTTC and its members.
- The
MTTC will evaluate and enhance connectivity within the
region.

The Mountain Technology & Telecommunications Consortium
is a consortium of Boards of Cooperative Educational Services,
K-12 School Districts, and Colorado Mountain College working
together to acquire, implement, maintain, and constantly
improve the technology available to our learners.
