Special Education Steering Committee
The Special Education Steering Committee is organized for the purpose of providing parents and staff the opportunity to review, critique and informally evaluate special education services and programs and thereby offer informed suggestions and recommendations to the director for the development and implementation of these services and programs.

The Special Education Steering Committee has at least one representative from each member district and other members that the Executive Director and/or Special Education Director chooses to appoint.

At least one-fourth of the membership of the Special Education Steering Committee shall consist of parents of handicapped students.

The Special Education Steering Committee meets at least four times per year.
